Children

We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done. Psalm 78:4

Cornerstone has an extensive ministry to children with many under 11s involved in Sunday and midweek groups. It is our aspiration that every child within a group at Cornerstone will feel safe, known and cared for as we strive to teach the bible in an interesting and age appropriate way.

Sundays

Crèche

Crèche

We have a purpose built crèche facility at Cornerstone which provides care for 0-3 year-olds in a safe, loving and fun environment. The crèche is open from 5 minutes before the service until the end of the service and children are collected during the final song. Crèche is staffed by a team of very committed volunteers who are recognisable by their green t-shirts!

Bible Workshops

Bible Workshops

This is the name we give to our various groups for our 3s-11s on a Sunday morning. For the first part of both morning services the whole church family remains together in the main auditorium. Our children leave for their various groups midway through the service and are collected immediately after the final song. We are committed to providing good quality, age appropriate bible teaching as well as having fun and encouraging friendships along the way. Our groups are lead by our specially trained children's team.

Midweek Groups

Tots and Toys

Tots and Toys

Tots and Toys is a group for pre-school children and their adults and meets every Thursday morning during school term time from 9.45am to 11.00am. You are warmly invited to join us for a time of play, craft activities, Bible stories, singing and refreshments (£1 per family).

Ignite

Ignite Games

Ignite is a group for junior school age children (7-11 year olds, those in Years 3-6) and meets on alternate Fridays from 6.00 - 7.15pm, please see the term card for dates. Ignite is lead by a very enthusiastic and dedicated team, and is about fun, friendship and finding out more about God! Many of the relevantly aged children from Cornerstone come along and many bring friends from school, we warmly welcome children who don’t normally attend Cornerstone.

There is the facility during Ignite for parents to stay around and a chat should they wish. This is a great way to meet other parents and you can be assured of a warm welcome.

Below are the Ignite dates for the Autumn term 2024:
